I’m trying to teach my children that its not about weight but fitness. So, I have to lead by example. For most of my lifetime I have struggled with my weight. By most standards, I am not considered overweight, but I consider myself overweight. I don’t like this or that about my self. I’ve done everything under the sun to lose or keep off weight. Now, approaching 40, I need to take a realistic look at myself and see that at this point in my life its about Maintenance and Fitness. There, I said it: Maintenance. I will never again see the 120s but I can maintain my weight were I am. So I am revising my 2013 goal. I am no longer striving to lose 7 lbs. My new goal is to maintain my weight this year but I also want to get more physically fit.
1. I plan to do 30 minutes of any kind of exercise 5 times a week.
2. I plan on getting to 10,000 daily on my Fitbit.
3. I plan on doing 2 days of some kind of weight bearing exercise.
4. I plan on working towards doing a 5k by the end of this year.
5. I plan on inputting all my food into my Lose it App. Why? I tend to over eat if I am not conscious of what I am eating so if I plan to maintain I need to know what is going in my mouth all the time.
