The S.O.S. Mix is soup or sauce mix. It is used for those pesky “Cream of” soups that are so often in recipes. I have given them up completely.
Until Now.
I made a double batch and I’m collecting recipes that I will try in the next few weeks.
Here is the link where I found this recipe: One Good Thing.
Ingredients
2 cups powdered non fat milk
3/4 cup cornstarch ( potato starch or tapioca starch will work too)
1/4 cup instant boullion ( I used Herb OX, but I am considering trying a different brand Orrington Farms so I don’t get MSG in my food)
2 Tbsp dried onion flakes
2 tsp. italian seasoning (optional)
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a recloseable plastic bag, mixing well. ( I used a plastic bin)
Equal to 9 (10.5 oz) cans of cream soup.
In One Good Thing’s post there is a link to a printable booklet using this S.O.S. Mix. I printed it out and picked 2-3 recipes that my family and I would like. Here is that link: S.O.S. Mix Recipes.
I am so excited about this mix. I also made taco seasoning and meat rub that I will share about next Wednesday.
I am sharing this recipe on Gluten Free Wednesdays.
